Our cutting boards are handcrafted from 100% natural tamarind wood. Due to the natural variations in wood grain, color tone, texture, and pattern, no two boards are ever exactly alike. The images shown on our website are for reference only, your board will be unique in appearance, reflecting the natural beauty and character of the wood it was made from.

Slight differences in shade, knots, grains, or surface markings are not defects but natural features that highlight the individuality of each piece.

Tamarind wood after Kiln drying is naturally resistant to fungi and mold. Our plant based oil seasoning process adds even more protection. However, the cutting board is not completely fungus-proof or mold-proof, so proper care is still needed to prevent any mold growth.

Always dry the board thoroughly after washing. Removing all moisture helps prevent the growth of mold and bacteria on the wood. Wipe the board dry immediately after rinsing.

Never put it in a dishwasher, tap sink, or soak in water. Prolonged exposure to water or moisture can still damage the wood and lead to mold or contamination.

Oil the cutting board occasionally with a food-safe oil. Proper oiling keeps the wood water-repellent reducing moisture absorption and the risk of fungal issues.

If you notice any black spots or mold on the board, it’s likely due to trapped moisture (a natural occurrence and not a defect). Simply scrub the affected area with salt and a cut lemon(or a vinegar solution), then rinse and dry it well to restore the board’s condition.
